Man, what a weekend. The totally not-true rumors that Fernando Alonso is dating Taylor Swift have reached a fever pitch, and now hopefully will come to an end as the driver appears to now be in on the joke.
He posted about it in a TikTok, a social app I don't use and had to go by typing a URL into Chrome. Makes me feel old! Anywho, here's the TikTok:
Alonso listening to a sped-up version of the song Karma while saying he's in his "race week era" and throwing in a wink face... what a jokester! And in the comments, he says he's "feeling 33," a reference to Taylor's song 22, in which she says she's "feeling 22."
The good news is that now that Alonso has acknowledged the rumor, it should begin to die a natural death and we'll never have to hear or write about it again. It'll all just be a footnote in the 2023 F1 season. Or it's true and Taylonso is a real thing that we'll have to deal with for the foreseeable future. Hope he doesn't take a scarf away from her or else we'll be getting a 20-minute song in a few years.
