The highly anticipated 2023 Nissan Z is finally starting to arrive at dealerships. You know what that means, right? Yep, dealer markups. Virtually every desirable new car on the market is being hit with markups from dealers, and the Z is no exception. This price spike from a dealer in Washington might be the most egregious so far, as it more than doubles the price of the car.

A photo of a window sticker first published to Facebook and shared online shows what looks to be a significant markup over MSRP for a Nissan Z applied by Bellevue Nissan of Washington state. On top of a nonsense $1195 "protection pack," there's a market adjustment of $73,881—more than the entire value of the car. Quick math points to a total out-the-door price of $129,991, or roughly the price of a brand-new Porsche 911 Carrera 4S.

The car in question is a limited-production model called the Z Proto Spec. Limited to 240 units, it's a U.S.-only trim that gets yellow-colored brake calipers, bronze-colored RAYS wheels, and an exclusive interior with unique yellow-accented seats, stitching, and shift knob design.

The car is currently listed on Bellvue Nissan's website, but no price is given. The dealership declined to comment on the markup or even confirm the Z's price when reached by MotorTrend via telephone.
