When it comes to high-horsepower, carbon fiber-bodied builds, there are few folks more respected or revered than SpeedKore Performance. The Grafton, Wisconsin-based outfit has just unveiled its latest collaboration project, which just so happens to be a 1500+ horsepower V-8-swapped Chrysler Pacifica minivan.
Known as Baba Yaga, this insane Chrysler design study arrived on social media via a collaboration between SpeedKore and Abimelec Design. The latter was one of the first people to render a “Pacifica Hellcat” model back in 2020, and helped get the idea stuck in the back of our collective heads. Like Abimelec Design’s initial renderings, the high-performance van features flared fenders, more aggressive fascia, a large hood scoop, a center exit exhaust setup, and all the Hellcat badging that one could hope for. All of the bodywork is set to be completed in carbon, which SpeedKore says will ultimately help shave a targeted 1000 pounds out of the van.
Of course no SpeedKore build would be complete without a honking V-8 up front, and this particular van concept is no different. The team intends to swap in a 6.2-liter Supercharged V-8 sourced from Dodge, but with some go-fast parts of their own installed. Total output is targeted at 1517 horsepower, which is significantly more than even the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170. The performance parts have been named the Lilith Package, a nod to the mother of demons herself. An eight-speed automatic transmission that will handle shifts, but it remains unclear at this point which wheels will be driven. A rear-drive setup makes the most sense for the ease of the swap, but SpeedKore aren’t afraid of a challenge. Regardless of where the power is sent, a set of SRT wheels wrapped in sticky Michelin rubber are ready to make some smoke on command.
Should they actually go through with the build, SpeedKore suggests they’re looking to prove what the van can do on track. The likelihood of such a build seems pretty high at this point however, especially with the next SEMA Show already in most builder’s sights. While not your typical muscle car or hot rod, a Hemi-powered Pacifica should surely capture some audience praise in Las Vegas. Either way, we hope to learn more about this design study as it draws closer to a driving machine.
